The purpose of POWER UP is to foster growth in spirit and connection among men through Southside Christian Fellowship under God, for His kingdom
PowerUp builds men up to meet their unique God-given purpose and potential. This begins with focus on God and His Word. In reality, as men we are all prone to being pulled away from this foundation by the multitude of distractions and demands surrounding us. PowerUp is about breaking through these barriers, connecting as Jesus Christ did, in the context of our culture.
Connection activities include a cooked breakfast buffet with a speaker, first Saturday every month, and a range of social activities other times. Breakfast topic examples are: bouncing back, dealing with hurt, fatherhood, overcoming depressing, leadership. Social event examples are: BBQs, soccer, kayaking, State of Origin on big screen, a weekend away. We also have a video library, offer free health and fitness advice from qualified persons, and run ‘giving back’ initiatives to help others in need.
We’re a men’s group steadily growing in spirit and number, with room to grow more – so join us, you’re very welcome!
Girls love hanging out with girls.
Something really special happens when girls of any age get together. We spur each other on, we laugh, we cry, we learn and we grow. There is true joy to be found when women gather with the Lord in their hearts.
We have many flavours. Our focus is on building relationships with one another, worshipping the Lord, praying together and becoming more like Him.
Join us as we seek the Lord together. You will find shelter from the busyness of life, a refuge from chaos and streams of living water abundant.
Bringing God and young people together!
Fuse youth meets Friday nights during school term from 7-9pm and Sunday mornings from 9:30am.We are a youth group that believe in bringing God and Young people together. Our youth nights consist of fun activities and youth-relevant bible studies. The youth leadership team are very excited and passionate about encouraging the youth in the unique gifts God has blessed them with.
We also have our annual youth camp, Christmas party, encounter nights and other fun filled outings- Southside youth is the best! So come along and join the fun! this term we are undergoing a study on evangelism, teaching the youth how to share their faith, fulfill the great commission taking the gospel with them everywhere they go!
Our heart for the young adults is to see them grow in their relationship with God, and to grow in their fellowship with their brothers and sisters in Christ.
Our YA group is also to connect with our other non Christian friends who are yet to know Jesus, to encourage each other in the process, and to invite them along to various events. We are a group of young people who can encourage, support and be accountable to each other when needed, and to build each other up in every season of life – the good, the bad and the ugly. We can also shine the light of Jesus, not only to each other, but to the church body and the world as a whole.
Our babygroup is just beautiful women from the community who meet up on a Monday morning between 10-12 in All Nations Cottage in Southside grounds. They share ideas, recipes, and their life. We have been going for 11 years. Eileen Macdonald looks after babygroup.
